Akatsuka Park is an urban park located in Inarimae, Tsukuba City.
Akatsuka Park has many trees that display autumn colors, including maples, Japanese maples, ginkgoes, sweetgums, horse chestnuts, metasequoias, and zelkovas. Unusually for a park, there is also a single persimmon tree where you can see many persimmons growing.
The maple trees are located on Maple Hill, which is almost in the center of the park.
To its north, there is a promenade where you can enjoy the autumn leaves of ginkgoes, sweetgums, and horse chestnuts. Metasequoias are located near the east side of the pond. Japanese maples are found along the eastern pathway and on the east side of the pond, but due to sunlight conditions, their autumn colors are expected to be about one to two weeks later than those of the maple trees.
